In most cases we cannot “cure” scoliosis. We can however relieve or minimise the resulting muscle or joint pain. In some cases, depending on the underlying cause, we do see improvement in the scoliotic curve.

No, you don’t have to be. Joint adjustments (a form of treatment associated with a clicking noise) is often a primary treatment of choice due to its effectiveness and safety. However, we use a range of effective scoliosis treatment strategies and can tailor the treatment to your preferences. So, if you would prefer not to be adjusted (or ‘clicked’) that is not a problem.

Yes. All treatments at Dynamic Health Jersey CI are extremely safe. Chiropractic is widely recognised as one of the safest, drug-free, non-invasive therapies available for the treatment of neuromusculoskeletal (nerve, muscle and joint) complaints. No health treatment is completely free of potential adverse effects but chiropractic does have an excellent safety record and any associated risks are very small.

No. A doctor’s referral isn’t necessary although we do find that many of our patients are referred for scoliosis treatment by their GPs. All of our patients are initially assessed by a chiropractor who is a ‘primary care practitioner’ which means that he/she is specifically trained to provide first-contact for a patient with an undiagnosed health concern. The chiropractor can then determine which treatment will be most suitable and effective.
