Pilates

Pilates jersey ci

Pilates is a method of rehabilitation and conditioning developed by the late Joseph Pilates.   It uses specific exercises to strengthen and improve the co-ordination of the deep core stabilising muscles as well as improving overall flexibility. This is extremely important in the prevention and rehabilitation of injury.

Our class sizes are kept small so exercises can be individualised and techniques can be perfected. Classes are run by Carol Wood who is one of only three Stott trained Pilates instructors in Jersey CI. Stott Pilates is contemporary approach to the original exercise incorporating modern principles of exercise science and rehabilitation. This means Carol has extensive training in body function, posture and muscular stabilisation and are therefore able to easily accommodate those with injuries or chronic health conditions.

  • Mondays:     5.30 – 6.30pm (full)

This practise helps to reduce symptoms such as stress, anxiety, fatigue, insomnia, high blood pressure, migraines, back and neck pain and symptoms of menopause.
